Chainlink LINK Powers Robinhood’s Testnet Launch for Financial-Grade Tokenization
Robinhood has launched the public testnet for its Robinhood Chain, naming chainlink as the official oracle infrastructure partner. This development enables developers to begin stress-testing applications designed for financial-grade use cases. By leveraging Chainlink's robust data feeds, interoperability tools, and compliance standards, the platform aims to advance the development of tokenization products.
The primary goal of the testnet is to identify potential vulnerabilities and ensure network stability before the mainnet launch. Key infrastructure partners, including Alchemy, Allium, LayerZero, and TRM, are already integrating with the network. Johann Kerbrat, Robinhood's SVP and General Manager of Crypto, highlighted the testnet's role in cultivating an ecosystem focused on tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) and enhancing decentralized finance (DeFi) liquidity.
In the coming months, developers will gain access to testnet-exclusive assets, such as Stock Tokens, for integration testing, with direct support available via Robinhood Wallet. The company previously introduced tokenized stocks for European customers on Arbitrum One in June 2025, facilitating 24/5 trading of over 2,000 U.S.-listed stocks. Robinhood Chain plans to expand its offerings to support 24/7 trading and self-custody features.
